Its very encouraging to learn about the work of MU at your level especially that we have entered territories where decisions affecting Families and children can be heards at the highest decision making bodies of your country and internationally. My guess would be that many of us third world countries are still wrestling with how MU organisation can function well especially in terms of how it should run its activities and programmes effectively. Sometimes we think addressing matters affecting family lives that requires government attention is treading outside MU rules so the information released here has empowered me to get involved in ways that would help MU family concerns in our context to be heard at those higher level too. Congratulations for the good work well done on our behalf.

Greetings Rosemary, I have just been doing a roam around the MU websites and found your newsletter. You will be pleased to know that Bye Buy Childhood has been launched in New Zealand. After getting the Auckland Diocesan Synod go-ahead, we were a bit gob-smacked about the enormity of the challenge we had accepted but today MU and AAW met together and worked out a plan of action with the MSH guidelines. Will keep in touch with progress reports. With best wishes, Margaret.

Hello,
I hope you can help. I am working with contact groups in South Wales and have 2 areas where the groups may have to close because of a low number of volnteers. We have 16 older people who live alone who will no longer have this lifeline if I can`t help them. Do you please have any contact details for Mothers Union Groups in Newport And Barry South Wales regions that I can speak to .
The Volunteer commitment is low in time but high in visual results. We need volunteers drivers and 2 cordinators to spare just a few hours a month.
Please look at our website to see what we do.
Do hope you can help
Warm regards
Marion lowther

Well done Rosemary, Reg and ALL MU members. I was particularly pleased to have several young members of my congregation (not MU) come up to me yesterday morning and say how very pleased they are about the news which had been highlighted on the Radio and TV on Saturday. Great news for parents and grannies and for the MU.
Look forward to hearing lots more good news later this week in Edinburgh. xxx
